TB-500 (Thymosin β4)

Description

TB-500 is a synthetic version of thymosin beta-4, a 43-amino-acid peptide present in almost all cells whose primary role is the regulation of actin, the protein that forms the cellular cytoskeleton. By sequestering actin, it influences a cell’s ability to reorganize and migrate – a process central to tissue building and repair.

Research describes TB-500 as an actin-regulating peptide that supports the migration of endothelial and other cells during blood-vessel formation and wound closure, with anti-fibrotic and tissue-remodeling activity reported across preclinical models; its small size allows it to diffuse readily through tissue.
